From the Hotel Continental you can begin a wonderful walk through some of the most important beauties of Venice: crossing the Ponte degli Scalzi, you enter the San Polo district admiring the most central calli of Venice, until you reach the Sestiere San Marco, where you can visit the Palazzo Grassi, before losing yourself among the wonders of Piazza San Marco.

At this point, the advice is to return to the hotel, but continue the itinerary through the Dorsoduro district, where, a short distance from each other, there are Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, home to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, and the monumental complex of the Gallerie dell’Accademia.

Palazzo Labia, a sumptuous eighteenth-century residence where you can admire a marvelous cycle of frescoes by Tiepolo – currently the headquarters of RAI.

Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, home to the Venice Casino, a splendid example of Renaissance architecture, which hosted Richard Wagner.

Ca’ D’Oro, a wonderful patrician residence from the 15th century, today home to the Franchetti Gallery, which houses a prestigious collection of paintings, including the famous “San Sebastiano” by Mantegna, and works by the greatest Venetian and Flemish painters of the 16th century.
